EBICA is a vibrant international school where work, recreation, education and learning about life are all closely linked together.

EBICA teaches students to be more confident and creative, we adapt our teaching methods to suite the individual needs of each student. We are constantly striving to offer an innovative and challenging educational programme which satisfies the demands of each student according to their age

EBICA strives to create a motivating environment that is at the same time re-assuring and assures a stimulating learning environment. Our High School programme opens access to the best French and International universities. We offer two Curricula for the high school and students may choose between the French Baccalaureate and the English A level certificate. At the start of the school year (2015) EBICA will be registered with the IBO and be able to offer the IB (International Baccalaureate). To accompany our students EBICA offers university counseling and career guidance enabling students to make informed choices about their academic future and career.  Through our innovative classroom techniques students not only excel academically but learn important skills such entrepreneurial ship, presentation skills and leadership. Each student also has access to career guidance in which they will receive assistance on building towards their chosen career. 

FRENCH SECTION

2nd: French, Mathematics, SVT, Physics/Chemistry, History/Geography, Civic Education and Spanish are taught according to the French Curriculum (Education Nationale). English (First or Second Language) is taught in preparation for the IGCSE examinations taken that year.

1ère-Terminale – options ES or S. Preparation to French Baccalaureate. Optional subjects are Music, Theatre (LAMDA) and Art.

Students may also take the Cambridge ESOL and the IELTS (English Second Language). These allow students to enter into English speaking universities without the need to take language tests.

For all students, Art, Sport, Theatre, Leadership, Global Perspectives, Debating and Music are compulsory subjects, some taught in French, others in English

ENGLISH SECTION

KS4 Year 11- IGCSE II  (15-16 years old):

English (First or Second Language), French (First or Foreign Language), Mathematics and Co-ordinated Science (double award) are compulsory.Students must also choose two subjects in the following list: History, Geography and Business. Spanish is optional.

All of those subjects are taught according to the IGCSE programmes. Students take their examinations the same year.

For all students, Art, Sport, Theatre, Leadership, Global Perspectives, Debating and Music are compulsory subjects, some taught in French, others in English. Information technology is a cross- curricular module.

1ère-Terminale / AS and A-levels / IB years (16-18 years old):

1ère-Terminale – options ES or S. Preparation to French Baccalaureate. Optional subjects are Music, Theatre (LAMDA) and Art.

AS and A-levels – students choose 3 to 5 subjects from the following:

IB year 1 and 2 – students choose one subject in each of the following groups. The 6th subject can be chosen from group 6 or any other group.

English Literature, French Language or Literature, Spanish Language, Mathematics, Business, History, Geography, Art, Biology, Physics. Optional subjects are Music and Theatre (LAMDA).

Our Sport and Leadership programmes are compulsory for all students.

Students may also take the DALF/ DELF exams (French Second Language). These allow the students to enter into French Universities without having to take language tests
